Christmas
We thought it would be fun for the girls to wear their special dresses for the Christmas Eve service at church. They sang for us, then were able to pick one present to open.
It was special to fall asleep together by the tree. |

Leavenworth
I have heard of the lights of Leavenworth at Christmastime before, but this time we got to see it for ourselves! :) My parents gave us a huge treat by inviting us to go with them for a night. It was beautiful! Tory and Natalia wanted to step in the snow piled up on the side of the road, but soon discovered that cold feet are no fun. It was an excuse to go into one of the many cute stores all over the main street to find a dry pair of fuzzy socks.

Brrr!! Part 3 - Ice Sliding!
The freezing cold made a nice film of ice on the edge of my parents' river, and Natalia loved the feeling of sliding on the ice!! :)
See video here:
I have no idea how this happened, but it is so weird, I am going to leave it.... |

Brrr!! Part 2 - Tory and Natalia
Today Tory got to join in the fun!
Um... Smile?
Pretending to be dogs in leases got Chloe's attention . . . a little too close to home.
These are my favorite Christmas trees to date! :)

Odds and Ends
One day at my parent's house, Natalia decided she wanted to make a face using a rock.... so we looked around for other things to make the face on the rock, and this is what we came up with:
Tory wanted to make one too, so the next time we went over, she made this face:
Another day, Tory found a hat I used to wear when I was her age, and she played with it for a few days.
And, a couple selfies, to commemorate the term:

Brrr!!! It's cold outside! Part 1
For about three weeks, our area of the desert got very, very cold. It was always in the teens. It was so cold, all except the Columbia River froze over. Not that the cold will ever keep the young inside. Edwin had fun with Natalia one day out in that frozen land!
