Happenings . . .

Natalia learned how to write an N all by herself . . . she even knows how to draw the dots that guide the lines! :)

Tory lost her first tooth and was SOOOOO excited! She has been waiting for this day for a long time. She worked that tooth, until she finally pulled it out herself. 

We went to an "Expo" at the TRAC, where different companies, mostly geared toward kids, showed off their wares to the world. Tory begged and begged to get her face painted when we went to the New Year event, but was not allowed.  Her patience finally paid off.  She is a tiger! :)

Christmas!!

The best part of Christmas this year was having my brother, Paul, and my sweet niece, Kiera, here with us! We got to spend a whole week together and boy did the girls use every moment together! They had so much fun opening presents together and then playing with all the fun games and toys.  Tory had prayed for about two weeks that we would get snow.... and it started snowing on Christmas day and snowed almost all day! So, of course, they got out there and it was perfect snowman making snow! Then we checked out the Senske "Dancing Lights", as Tory calls them, and had a short, unplanned snowball fight there. :) Fun memories!

Barnekor

Tory's music teacher, Ms. Linnea, invited Tory to be part of her Scandinavian choir, Barnekor. They were invited to sing at a Christmas Scandinavian dinner, where authentic food was served, and Christmas songs were sung.  They also asked us all to join the Barnekor in the tradition of holding hands and singing carols around the Christmas tree.
